Maintenance Engineer (Multi-skilled)

Department: Site Services

Reporting to: Site Service Team Leader

Responsible for: Plant, equipment & site

(staff, materials, machinery and equipment, money)

Contacts with: Team Members & Production teams

(main internal/external contacts outside the department)

Responsibilities and duties:

(regular and occasional, defined and discretionary, administrative, technical and staffing, standards of performance and method of assessment)

The main duties of the role will be:-

• To ensure the safe and uninterrupted running of all plant, equipment and services both productive and non-productive, using both planned and breakdown maintenance;

• Utilise Maintenance Management System to carry out planned and reactive mechanical and electrical work;

• To communicate with internal customers and external suppliers to obtain technical guidance to carry out repairs and plant improvements.

• Contribute to and develop both the department and HSE.

• Installation of plant and equipment;

• Effective handover to oncoming shift

• Press tooling changes;

• Identify and action process and plant improvements;

• Assist with mechanical and electrical maintenance activities where required;

• Calibration of mechanical gauges, relief valves etc;

• Adopt and maintain good engineering and housekeeping practices;

• Maintenance and repair of machining centre\'s;

This role is predominantly mechanical biased with some electrical and instrumentation capabilities also being required.

Hours of Work:

12 Hour shifts, 07:00 - 19:00 & 19:00 - 07:00

Attainments:

• Must hold a recognised engineering

qualification at a minimum HNC level or equivalent. (NVQ level

3)

• Apprentice trained in plant Maintenance

• SCADA

• Familiar with Hydraulic presses

• Shire CMM Knowledge

General Intelligence:

Special Aptitudes:

(mechanical, manual dexterity, facility in use of words and figures)

\xef\x82\xb7 Relevant experience in industrial maintenance.
