Multi Skilled Marine Engineer/Fitter

Location: Southampton

Salary Range: 35,000 to 47,500 per year for the right candidates - 40hrs / week

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

Landau Marine have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Marine Engineer/ Fitter to work across the south coast but predominantly in and around our sites at Swanwick, Warsash and Marchwood.

Landau Marine undertake all manner of marine work from keel to masthead from both the leisure and commercial markets. Work can range from preparing and anti-fouling the hull of a vessel to installing state of the art electronics packages and most things in between, always with a focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

This role requires someone who is methodical, process driven, has great attention to detail and excellent communication skills with a passion for the marine industry and 'getting things done'.

Responsibilities

Installation and repair of general marine systems All aspects of vessel hull maintenance Diagnosing faults, repairing and servicing marine engines and drive units Practicing good housekeeping - including correct spares storage and maintaining clear paper records Reviewing work practices and suggesting ways to reduce lead times and costs

Experience

Proven experience as a multi-skilled marine engineer/fitter covering areas such as boat maintenance, plumbing, electrics and GRP work Experience within the commercial marine and/or leisure industry Ability to prioritise workload when up against deadlines Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative Valid driving license
