At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We're looking for an experienced floorer to join our inhouse repairs team and help us deliver a high quality repairs and maintenance service to our residents.
What's the role?
As part of our Gateway Repairs Team (GRT), you will deliver effective high quality installation, repair, and maintenance services to our customers. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of works from a preallocated appointment system.
The role involves maintaining a good working relationship with staff and working closely with our Planning Team and team leaders. You'll work effectively and proactively with your colleagues to deliver an excellent repairs service to our customers who are at the heart of everything we do.
What are we looking for?
This is a great opportunity for a floorer with experience in all types of flooring (including but not limited to: altro and nonslip vinyl), who has varied knowledge of carrying out installations and maintenance in residential settings. You will be customer focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. Knowledge of the housing or construction sectors would be a distinct advantage.
Essential:
A high standard of customer service* Experience repairing/replacing subfloors and floor boarding* Ability to conduct repairs* Competent use of altro welding tools (for cap & cove)* Full and clean UK Driver's License* Previous use of handheld technology (such as tablets or PDAs) for all quoted and reactive works* A satisfactory basic level DBS check.*
Desirable:
Knowledge of the housing sector* Knowledge of Microsoft Office*
