We are currently looking for a

Multi Skilled Operative (Nightshift)

to join our friendly team based at our Tarmac Cross Green Asphalt Plant in Leeds, Yorkshire. This role is easily accessible from Leeds, Rothwell, Oulton, Swillington, Garforth, Wetherby, Whinmoor, Oakwood, Bradford, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Headingley, Otley, Castleford, Pontefract, Halifax and the surrounding areas.


One

Multi Skilled Operative (Nightshift)

role will be working 42.5 hrs per week (average) working on 12-hour shifts (7pm - 7am) on a 4 on / 4 off rotation.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nightshift Supervisor, the role of

Multi Skilled Operative (Nightshift)

will be a part of the Multi-Skilled Operative team which produces asphalt and aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations.


This role will specifically focus on operational tasks including:

Operating the onsite asphalt plant to produce various different type of asphalt product Driving efficiencies and plant optimisation Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery as per the role of

Multi Skilled Operative (Nightshift)

including operating mobile plant Day to day maintenance, maintaining the highest levels of housekeeping Maintenance and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measure around the site

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of

Multi Skilled Operative (Nightshift)

will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar production environment as an operative. As well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.


As part of an operational team, suitable candidates for the role of

Multi Skilled Operative (Nightshift)

will also:

Have knowledge of the industry - ideally quarrying or asphalt plant Be flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operative team Be self motivated and able to motivate other colleagues in the team Have knowledge of Risk Assessments within role of

General Plant Operative

Have knowledge of SSOW (HIRA) and Permit systems (preferred but not essential) Be compliant and engage with company policies, targets, goals and standards Be IT literate Shovel Licence - desirable
