Working alongside the engineering team you will respond to all breakdowns within the factory to ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum. You will also play a role in taking the sites engineering agenda forward.
You will be required to meet the sites required engineering regulatory standards whilst being able to demonstrate decision making ability, and knowledge of good factory practice.
Essential Requirements
Completed a recognised modern apprenticeship with both mechanical and electrical qualifications to NVQ L3 or equivalent level and have thorough electrical and process control knowledge
Familiar with computerized preventative maintenance systems (SAP)
Familiar with PLC programming (Allen Bradley), SCADA and process control concepts such as RS Logistic 5000
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop others are essential
A solid understanding of Problem Solving Techniques and analytical skills
Able to facilitate team continuous improvement activities using various tools such as Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), default tagging and Standard Running Conditions (SRC)
Able to train others effectively and assess competent performance

IEE 18th wiring edition
Hygienic maintenance awareness
High Voltage authorised person
Key Accountabilities
To work as a member of a team, or a number of teams, jointly responsible for the achievement of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Environment and Morale targets.
To deliver planned and corrective maintenance tasks and projects to ensure optimum utilisation of plant and equipment. Full utilisation of the SAP PM system.
To conduct plant/machine inspections and risk assessments to identify potential problems (Safety, Quality, Reliability...) and ensure necessary tasks are incorporated within the overall plan.
To be part of small group activity meetings to discuss continuous improvement projects and deliver improvement activities.
To assist in large-scale maintenance events, large project work supporting installation of new equipment.
To work closely with contractors, ensuring they meet and are complying with the performance standards of the department.
