Job Description

Biocraft South West Ltd are an established family run business with over a decade of expertise within the property preservation industry. Due to the continuing growth of the business we are currently expanding our team and seek to employ a multi skilled trades person on a full-time / permanent basis.

Applicants must have a clean, full UK driving licence and their own vehicle (until such time that one is provided) as it will be necessary to travel to the office on a daily basis.

All applicants, must be prepared to travel up to 1 hour (each way) to various projects in Wiltshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Avon & Somerset. Upon successful completion of the initial probationary period a vehicle and fuel card will be supplied or until such time, a shared means of company transport will be provided.

Projects undertaken consist primarily of property preservation & refurbishment:

Remedial Damp Proofing Structural Waterproofing Timber Treatment Condensation Control Flood Repair & Restoration Basement / Cellar Conversions Mechanical Ventilation Equipment Full Property Refurbishment Painting & Decorating Plastering & Rendering Kitchen & Bathrooms Carpentry & Joinery Tiling & Flooring Property Maintenance

Candidate profile:

Applicants should be experienced and knowledgeable in most aspects of construction, renovation and general building and possess the necessary tools and equipment that are relevant for their given job/trade. Flexible, hardworking and willingness to travel are essential.

Daily duties will involve all aspects of internal and external damp proofing work, plastering, drylining, carpentry, together with general building, preparatory and maintenance works, such as the removal of old/damaged plaster and render, installation of damp proof courses and waterproofing membranes.

Previous construction, renovation and general building experience is

ESSENTIAL

. Previous damp proofing experience however, is preferable but not essential as further training and development will be provided.

Good timekeeping, communication skills and a positive attitude to work (flexibility, hardworking and willingness to travel) are key attributes to fulfil this role successfully.
