About the Role:
We are looking for a capable and experienced individual to support the upkeep and presentation of a residential and mixed-use property portfolio in Bournemouth. You will take full responsibility for a wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, tiling, flooring, painting, decorating, and general property repairs.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-sufficient, and take pride in producing high-quality work across tenanted and vacant properties.
This role requires someone who can assess jobs, problem-solve on site, and deliver high-quality workmanship across various projects.
Every day will be varied, with work ranging from full property renovations and new construction projects to responsive maintenance and repairs. This position suits a skilled professional who takes pride in their work, enjoys the variety of different projects, and can adapt to the changing demands of a busy property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete tasks to a high standard in the following areas:
Plumbing repairs (e.g. fixing leaks, unblocking drains, replacing taps/toilets)
Carpentry (e.g. hanging doors, replacing locks, fitting flooring)
General building and structural work (e.g. patch plastering, tiling, stud walls)
Fitting kitchens and bathrooms including first fix plumbing
Replacing window hinges, handles, and locks
Painting, decorating, and basic cosmetic refurbishments
Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues promptly and professionally
Ensuring all work is completed safely, cleanly, and to a high standard
Accurately diagnose problems and resolve them efficiently
Ensure all work is clean, safe, and minimally disruptive to tenants
Liaise with the property manager and log work completed
Flag any issues requiring specialist contractors or safety concerns
Directing labour and working with subcontractors
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in a multi-trade role
Strong proven practical skills across plumbing, tiling, flooring, and decorating
Ability to produce neat, reliable, and safe results without supervision
Comfortable working in tenanted properties and engaging professionally with residents
Full UK driving licence
Own tools preferred (van/tools can be provided if needed)
