Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to inspire and develop athletes of all ages and skill levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging training sessions, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your coaching expertise while contributing to the personal growth and success of participants.

This would be to teach an afterschool multi sport club at a primary school in Bristol, BS3.

Tuesdays 3:15pm - 4:15pm weekly, term time only

Duties

Design and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual athletes or teams Lead coaching sessions across a variety of sports, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback to support development Organise and oversee practice matches, competitions, and other sporting events Promote good sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among participants Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is safe, clean, and well-organised Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and organisational staff regarding schedules, progress, and upcoming events

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong understanding of various sports disciplines Excellent teaching abilities with the capacity to motivate and engage participants of diverse ages and backgrounds Strong organisational skills to plan effective training sessions and manage multiple groups simultaneously Good communication skills to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback Ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and personal growth Flexibility to adapt coaching methods based on individual needs and skill levels
