We are seeking passionate and dedicated Sports Coaches, ideally with experience in one or several of the following: Basketball, Netball; Rugby; Martial Arts, and/or Athletics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating children of all skill levels. As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in developing the skills and confidence of 4-11 year olds, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages growth and teamwork. You will be available after school on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
Responsibilities
Design and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual children.
Educate children on sport-specific techniques, strategies, and rules to enhance their performance.
Conduct one hour sessions once or twice per week at a school/s in Andover.
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among all participants.
Organise and lead practice sessions, drills, and competitive events.
Maintain open communication with children, parents, and other coaching staff regarding progress and development.
Ensure the safety of all children during training sessions and competitions.
Experience
Proven experience in sports coaching or relevant educational qualifications in sports science or physical education is preferred but not essential.
You will have a DBS and/ or be willing to have one.
Self-employed people welcome to apply also.
Strong knowledge of coaching methodologies and techniques specific to the sport being coached preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children.
A passion for sports and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all participants.
Experience working with diverse groups of young children is advantageous.
