Overview

We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and building practices, demonstrating the ability to work effectively on various projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to collaborate with other tradespeople. As a Builder, you will play a crucial role in bringing works to a good standard in mostly domestic properties, while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Make good existing properties following insurance claim, to repair damaged caused by water, fire, flood, subsidence - install, and repair structures and fixtures to domestic properties including, brickwork, kitchens, floors, bathrooms, tiling, decorations, plastering, rendering, wall papering and other building works. Read and interpret written instructions sent by emails and sketches to understand the requirements of works Measure, cut, and shape materials accurately using hand tools and power tools. Collaborate with Surveyors & engineers to ensure project specifications are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, making sure that domestic properties are left in a clean and tidy position as most properties are lived in, whilst works being undertaken. Photos are required daily of works undertaken, Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes. Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Builder or decorator or in a similar construction role (no site works) Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely. Ability to read and interpret emails and sketch's not technical drawings Good building problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour for extended periods. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Pay: 200.00-250.00 per day
