Multi-Trade Operatives - Damp & Mould, Disrepair and Voids Works

Smiths is a professional, agile, and social building contractor based in Surrey. Established in 2012, we deliver high-quality services across the social housing and private sectors throughout Surrey, Sussex, Kent, London and the Home Counties.

We are expanding our workforce and are now recruiting Multi-Trade Operatives to join our established teams in Weybridge and the South of England, as well as our new permanent teams being built in Stevenage and Coventry.

The Role

As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out remedial works relating to damp, mould, and condensation, completing legal disrepair orders, and delivering void property refurbishments. This is a customer-facing position, so being polite, professional, and presentable is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Treat, and prevent damp and mould issues in residential properties Complete legal disrepair works in line with specifications and compliance requirements Deliver void property refurbishments to bring homes back to a lettable standard Undertake day-to-day repairs and planned maintenance across multiple trades Provide excellent customer service when dealing with tenants, homeowners, and clients
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in damp & mould remedial works, disrepair cases, and voids Strong background in property maintenance and multi-trade works (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, roofing etc.) Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills Full UK manual driving licence Must be 23+ years old with no more than 6 points (insurance requirement)

Pay: 150.00-180.00 per day
