Maintenance Assistant / Handyman

About the Role - OWN TOOLS ESSENTIAL AND DRIVING LICSENSE

We're seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Assistant to support our Operations Director across domestic sites. This hands-on role involves performing various maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and addressing snagging issues to ensure our properties remain in excellent condition. You'll also be responsible for documenting work through photographs and engaging directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and minor repair work across domestic properties Complete snagging jobs and address punch list items Accompany and assist merchants/contractors during site visits

Document work through photographs before, during, and after completion

Engage professionally with customers, addressing their questions and concerns

Maintain detailed records of completed work and customer interactions

Identify and report maintenance issues requiring specialized attention Maintain inventory of supplies and tools Respond promptly to maintenance requests Ensure all work meets safety standards and building regulations
Qualifications

Previous experience in maintenance, handyman services, or related field Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks

Strong customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively with property owners/residents

Experience using mobile devices for photo documentation and reporting

Knowledge of residential property maintenance best practices

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 25kg and work in various positions Excellent communication skills
