Handyman / Multi Trader - Working with Gas Installation Teams
Salary: 39,000 per annum

Locations: North, East and West London, with some work in Hertfordshire and Essex
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to work alongside our gas engineers, carrying out making-good works following boiler and heating system installations. This role involves multi-trade tasks across domestic properties to ensure high-quality finishes after installation works have been completed.
You will be required to travel across London and occasionally Hertfordshire and Essex, working independently and engaging with surveyors, engineers and residents to deliver a professional service.
Key Responsibilities
Complete remedial repairs and making-good works following heating and boiler installations.
Work from snagging lists issued by clients or consultants.
Carry out painting and decorating to building fabric and pipework services.
Box in surface-mounted pipework and services.
Complete minor brickwork and plastering to match existing finishes.
Prepare surfaces for redecoration as required.
Undertake minor pipework insulation tasks.
Ensure all areas are left clean and tidy upon completion.
Remove rubbish and redundant materials safely and in accordance with regulations.
Collect and deliver materials to support ongoing works.
Communicate effectively with surveyors on progress and any issues.
Provide regular photo updates and progress reports.
Work to deadlines, quality standards, cost requirements and technical specifications.
Follow company procedures, QA processes and Health & Safety requirements.
Maintain accurate records as required.
Attend sites across the service area, primarily London.
Person SpecificationThe Ideal Candidate
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong practical skills with a methodical and safe approach to work.
Good technical understanding of materials, tools and small plant.
Problem solver with good attention to detail.
Able to work professionally around residents, including vulnerable individuals.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Trade-qualified, City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent).
Asbestos Awareness certification.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Location

North, East and West London

. Travel is required daily.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
1-hour unpaid lunch
40 hours per week
3-month probation period
Paid weekly via BACS
