Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman to join our team. The work is mainly split between West Drayton and Reading, the suitable candidate will live within an hour of these locations. We are a nationwide company and sometimes travel further afield will be needed. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills in various trades, including masonry, carpentry, plastering, paint and dec and more. This role requires a hands-on approach to completing tasks efficiently and effectively while ensuring high-quality workmanship. The Tradesman will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Carry out light masonry work (pointing and render) Perform plumbing tasks such as installing and repairing pipes and appliances. Engage in painting duties to enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures. Conduct electrical installations and repairs in compliance with safety regulations. Undertake carpentry projects including building frameworks, doors, and furniture. Undertake plastering works (patching in and fresh walls) Inspect roofs for damage and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are stored correctly. Not all of these skills are necessary but proffered.

Qualifications

Proven experience in multiple trades including masonry, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, painting, plastering, and decorating. Proficient in the use of both power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good physical fitness with the capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. A valid driver's licence is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 19.00-24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
