Description



Pilkington Oils is a small family-run company based in Chorley, that was founded in 1960.



They supply and deliver Red Diesel, Heating Oil, Fuels and Lubricants to domestic, agricultural, horticultural, construction, plant machinery and marine customers throughout the UK.



Pilkinton Oils are looking to build upon their current website and social media channels to steadily grow their company and expand the products they offer for online retail. For this, they are looking to hire a multi-channel marketing apprentice. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of helping to build the company's online presence from the ground up, and be a part of a small, laid back and friendly team. You will be given creative freedom to explore this role to the fullest, and to develop your skills to a professional level.



This role is based at the company's HQ in Chorley (PR6 0RE). Working hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday, but some flexibility would be possible for the right candidate.



Responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:

Developing the company's website and increasing the range of products offered on there. Developing the company's social media channels to increase engagement and awareness of the brand. Helping to develop SEO for the company to help drive online sales and promote shipping via courier. Keeping up to date with marketing trends and technologies and applying them to your role. Plan and organise marketing campaigns.

Personal qualities required for this role:

Keen to learn how to build and design a website to a professional standard. Some experience of working on websites already would be very beneficial. Friendly, easy-going and able to work independently. Good at putting ideas forward. Not afraid to work in a busy industrial environment.

Entry requirements



A minimum of C grade/ level 4 in both English and maths at GCSE level.



Training to be provided



With 80% of your week consisting of on-the-job learning as an employee and 20% dedicated to online training and education activities, you will benefit significantly as an apprentice on Apprentify's Multi-Channel Marketing apprenticeship. All our learning modules are conducted online for the convenience of the apprentice and the employer.
