Job summary
We are recruiting a Multimedia Designer (maternity cover) to join our Content Team.
The post holder will report to the Head of Content. They are responsible for leading the creation and delivery of high-quality visual content across Ofsted's communications channels, including graphics, video, animation, photography and social media content.
The post holder will work strategically with senior stakeholders across the organisation to develop and implement visual communication strategies that enhance Ofsted's brand and effectively engage our audiences. They will provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues at all levels, helping to maintain consistent standards and drive continuous improvement in our visual communications.

Selection process details
This vacancy is using Success Profiles , and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.
Application and shortlisting:
The selection panel will assess your application based on your evidence you have provided against the essential criteria as set out in the person specification.
You will also be asked to provide information within the ?Employer/Activity History? section of the application form. This information is equivalent to the information you would provide on a CV setting out your career history (this may be used in the sifting process).
Interview
Candidates who pass the benchmark at the shortlisting stage will be invited to an interview where you will be assessed against a combination of the the Civil Service behaviours and the technical/experience skills set out in section 3 of the job specification.
As part of the interview process, we will ask you to submit a portfolio that includes a sample of video content you have created. This will help us better understand your creative and technical skills.
Interviews will be held during the
week commencing Monday 2 February 2026
at
10 South Colonnade, London.
Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview or assessment.
Security
Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
