Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our dual services including supported living for adults with learning disabilities and domiciliary care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including experience in home care and supported living environments. This role is pivotal in supporting the management of daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care for our service users.

Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the care service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Lead and mentor a team of care staff, fostering a supportive environment that promotes professional development and teamwork. Develop and implement individualised care plans for service users, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. Monitor the administration of medication, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols. Conduct regular assessments of service user health and wellbeing, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required. Facilitate communication between service users, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Experience

Proven experience in senior care settings, preferably in roles such as deputy manager within a home care or supported living environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on compassionate interaction with service users and their families. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each service user.
