Site Foreman
to oversee the day-to-day running of commercial refurbishment projects across the South East. The successful candidate will ensure that works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader who can manage subcontractors, coordinate with site teams, and maintain excellent communication with clients and management.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and health & safety standards.
Plan, coordinate, and manage daily site operations, including labour, materials, and subcontractors.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance.
Liaise with the Project Manager to report on progress, variations, and any issues affecting the programme or costs.
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company health & safety policies.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, delivery notes, and labour allocation sheets.
Manage site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure all operatives adhere to site rules.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical queries.
Drive performance, maintain productivity, and ensure workmanship meets company and client expectations.
Support snagging, handover, and post-completion activities.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Site Foreman or Site Supervisor within commercial refurbishment or fit-out sectors.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
Proficient in maintaining records and producing site reports.
CSCS Gold Card or equivalent (preferred)
SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred)
First Aid at Work (preferred).
Asbestos Awareness and other relevant certifications (advantageous).
