Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Food Sector
Location Commutable From - Kettering, Market Harbrough, Corby , Northampton, Thrapston, Rushden
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (with some flexibility on start/finish times)
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer (with an electrical bias) to join our team. In this role, you will conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and ensure the smooth running of specialist equipment within the food sector.
You will receive full training on two key pieces of equipment and will develop into the in-house expert responsible for maintaining these critical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance on specialist equipment
Develop expertise in two key machines, becoming the go-to specialist
Ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency
What We're Looking For:
A qualified engineer with an electrical bias (mechanical skills beneficial)
Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/production environment (food sector desirable, but not essential)
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Willingness to learn and become an equipment specialist
Flexible and proactive approach to work
