The Opportunity


We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our growing field team. This is a mobile role working across residential properties in London and Brighton, delivering essential repairs and improvements with a focus on electrical works and damp & mould-related interventions.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working independently, problem-solving on site, and making a meaningful difference to residents' homes and health.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out electrical repairs and minor installations (e.g. fans, switches, sockets, lighting) Replace and install extractor fans and ventilation systems Investigate and treat damp and mould issues, including minor plastering or redecoration Clean and apply anti-mould treatments to affected areas Install passive ventilation systems or air bricks Diagnose causes of condensation, rising or penetrating damp Conduct minor remedial building works related to damp and mould (e.g. sealant renewal, tile replacement, boxing-in pipework) Maintain clear records and complete job sheets using handheld devices Communicate professionally with residents and ensure a clean, respectful work environment Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations

Training & Development



At Pioneer Site Services, we're committed to helping our team grow and succeed. While electrical qualifications and experience are essential for this role, we understand that candidates may have less hands-on experience in damp and mould remediation.

We will provide full training and on-the-job support to help you build confidence and competence in:

Identifying different types of damp (e.g. condensation, rising, penetrating) Applying anti-mould treatments and preparing affected areas Installing and maintaining ventilation systems Best-practice techniques for mould removal, insulation, and prevention Understanding housing standards and damp-related compliance
You'll work alongside experienced engineers and benefit from our structured training plan, toolbox talks, and peer support -- helping you develop into a well-rounded, multi-skilled engineer with career progression opportunities in the housing compliance sector.

About You



We're seeking someone with a good electrical foundation who is also confident completing hands-on, practical works across a range of trades. You'll be customer-focused, solution-driven, and committed to high standards.

Essential Requirements:



NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Experience with domestic electrical works Experience replacing fans and working with basic ventilation systems Hands-on experience with damp and mould remediation Good general building skills (e.g. sealing, redecoration, basic carpentry or plaster patching) Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable (not essential):



City & Guilds 2391 or EICR experience Experience in social housing or working in occupied homes Knowledge of causes and solutions for various damp types (condensation, rising, penetrating) Awareness of housing health and safety regulations (e.g. HHSRS)

Additional Information



This is a field-based role requiring daily travel between properties in London and Brighton. The role may include working in both void and occupied homes, and occasional participation in a call-out or rota system.
