Job Description

JOB ROLE:

As an Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our high-speed printing and finishing machines run reliably and efficiently. You will work under the guidance of our Senior engineer. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with all production teams performing both planned and breakdown maintenance on print and finishing related areas and to respond to requests for repairs/spares ordering in a timely manner in accordance with the requirements of the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The role will encompass:Performing preventative maintenance on print and finishing related machinery to ensure that they are at a high standard Work in accordance with GMP, health and safety and site procedures Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely with appropriate risk assessments and permits Identifying potential failures before they impact production Responding to breakdowns and requests for work Implementing improvements in current processes Reducing downtime of current equipment and maintaining the current spare part inventory Developing and recording all engineering activities carried out by use of the Electronic Maintenance Management System including spare parts ordering and booking in Effectiveness of machinery and therefore production output

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

Essential:City & Guilds trained with an HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. Experience working within a manufacturing environment Mechanical engineering experience

Preferable:Organizational skills with quick reactivity to breakdowns Experience working on pharmaceutical print or folding machines Problem solving skills Decision making ability Computer literate * Adaptable fault finding and rectification skills.
