With growing demand, Gower View Foods is expanding and seeking Engineers to join the team.
The Opportunity
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be a key part of the team responsible for manufacturing Gower View Foods' range of dairy products. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing company, with significant opportunities to progress and further your career.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Responding to equipment failures and breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
Work closely with the production, operations & technical teams to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency.
Identify and implement engineering improvements to optimise performance and reduce operational waste.
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
Conduct PLC fault-finding and minor programming adjustments to optimise machine performance (desirable)
Maintain and update maintenance logs, reports, and compliance records.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and equipment.
Provide training and technical support to production operators for basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers for specialised maintenance or equipment servicing.
What we are looking for:
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3) in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering.
A keen eye for compliance - someone who will ensure that all activities are in-line with health and safety regulations, food safety regulations and customer codes of practice.
Experience in a food production or FMCG manufacturing
A proactive individual with good attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to interact with colleagues, suppliers, and external contractors.
Electrical certification e.g., 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations. (Desirable.)
We are separately looking for a candidate with significant experience and skills in Process and Automation engineering including programming and design.
