Multi-Skilled Engineering Apprentice

(2 positions available)

Starting Salary: 20,000 - 22,000 Per Annum

Preferred Start Date: 1st September 2025

Interviews will be held from w/c 11th August, with successful candidates required to attend a second interview w/c 18th August.

We are in the search for a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a robust work environment and gain valuable skills to become a multi-skilled engineer.

Responsibilities & Duties

Observe and learn from experienced engineers You will work on various types of plant and equipment and monitor the performance of the equipment Learn the installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of equipment, as part of planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes Diagnose and rectify faults in machinery and equipment Ensure that you work by the Health and Safety guidelines to avoid posing any risk to yourself or others Learn to read and understand information and work in compliance with technical specifications and supporting documentation

Future Progression

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available for the right person based on performance.

Working Week

Core working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 8 hours per day, Monday to Thursday and 5.5 hours on Fridays. You will receive shift patterns in advance. After successful completion of the apprenticeship, it will be required to work a 3-shift pattern.

Grade 4/C or above in Maths, English and Science Excellent communication skills Hardworking and eager to learn Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently using own initiative A passion for engineering

Training Information

Training will be with Swarm REAGIT. The successful candidate will work towards the Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician.

All apprentices taking part in the level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician Standard will spend 20 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. The apprentice will then attend the site 1 day per week for 72 weeks to complete the developing knowledge element of the apprenticeship.
