Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Multiskilled Engineers interested in a field-based, Mobile Engineer position providing engineering services to a range of processing industries.

In this role you will carry out a specialist range of services to processing facilities, including installation, service, breakdowns and commissioning.

We are looking for proven experience in processing or manufacturing environments and an Engineer looking to work out in the field.

Duties

• Carry out planned field service activities of all types including installations, service, breakdowns and commissioning support.
• Carry out fast, effective electrical / mechanical fault finding by investigating the root cause and identify and implement preventative solutions.Reactive and proactive maintenance of factory equipment.
• Ensuring maintenance management system is up to date.
• Effective liaison with the operations team leaders and other members of the management team.
• Assisting with the daily plant operations.
• Effective communication of breakdowns and repairs completed.
• Carry out all works to the full scope as detailed for each type of activity and within agreed timescales.
• Ensure the customer is fully informed on all activities especially when there are issues identified that may require additional costs or have an influence on the operation or life of the asset.
• Effective communication with the customer especially in a breakdown situation to ensure details of the problem are identified and that the client is kept fully informed on progress.
• Effective communication with the Engineering office with regards to additional parts required, technical difficulties identified and the need for specialist input as appropriate.
• Effective handover of the equipment back to the customer on completion of the works.
• Ensure correct working methods are used and conducted in accordance with H&S requirements and Engineering Health & Safety Policies.
• Adhere to all Customer and site rules and Method Statements / Risk Assessments.
• Conduct pre-job risk assessments before any work commences.
• Carry out Health & Safety audits.
• To participate as an active member of the team.
• Maintain records of time and expenditure on site.

Applicant Profile

• Experience of installing equipment in food, beverages, brewery, bakery, process or manufacturing environments.
• Multiskilled engineering background.
• Industrial electrical experience.
• PAT testing experience.
• Able to travel and work away from home as per business needs.
• Full clean driving licence.
