About Eden Care Homes & the Role

Eden Care Homes is looking to recruit a reliable, skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance & Services Operative to join our team in Bradford. This role involves a wide range of maintenance, installation, and repair tasks across our care home facilities. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, dependable, and able to work both independently and within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and maintenance of fire doors, kitchens, and bathrooms throughout the care home. High-quality joinery work including second-fix carpentry, adjusting internal doors, and fitting cabinetry. Shopfitting and refurbishment tasks as required. Plumbing duties such as minor leak repairs, tap replacements, and basic pipework. Painting, decorating, patch plastering, and finishing to a high standard. Basic electrical work, including replacing fittings and minor fault finding. Proactive maintenance and efficient resolution of on-site issues with minimal disruption. Ensuring all work is performed to professional, safe, and clean standards appropriate for a care home environment.

Essential Experience & Skills

Experience in ALL the following trades is required:

Joinery / Carpentry Shop Fitting Plumbing Painting & Decorating Basic Electrics
Candidates must also demonstrate:

Ability to carry out detailed carpentry and precise installations. Excellent finishing skills, including decorating and patch repairs. Confidence in diagnosing and resolving maintenance and repair issues independently. A strong sense of professionalism and pride in their workmanship.
