Our factory operates a range of precision machinery, including saws, double-headed saws, CNC machines, compactors, welders, punchers, chop saws, machine centre saws (Haffners), and compressors. Being competent in operating the Bridgeport Milling Machine, as well as having experience in using Centre Lathe, would be advantageous. Role Overview

As a

Multi-Skilled Production Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electric based)

, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of machinery used in our manufacturing process with a focus on preventative maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and servicing of factory machinery, including saws, CNCs, compactors, welders, and compressors. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs to minimise production downtime. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance. Collaborate with production staff to address any mechanical issues that arise during operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and repairs. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and lifespan. electrical fault finding

Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of production machinery. Experience working with CNC machines, saws, welders, and compressors is highly desirable. Ability to diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs efficiently. Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and techniques. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field)
