Key Responsibilities
Repair and replace
roof coverings
, flashings, gutters, and downpipes as needed.
Prepare surfaces and install roofing materials to ensure
watertight finishes
that meet safety and quality standards.
Complete a range of
general property maintenance
tasks, including:
Basic
plumbing
(e.g. fixing leaks, replacing fittings)
Joinery
(e.g. repairing doors, windows, fencing)
Groundworks
, drainage repairs, and minor building works
Accurately
measure and cut materials
to specification, ensuring high-quality finishes.
Assist with
small refurbishments
and internal upgrades to estate properties and cottages.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Follow
health and safety procedures
at all times, particularly when working at height or with power tools.
Collaborate with
property maintenance colleagues
as well as teams across the wider business -- including
Arable, Forestry, and the Office
-- to coordinate repairs, support ongoing operations, and ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.
Communicate clearly with managers and site contacts, reporting progress and flagging issues as needed.
Complete
job sheets and documentation
for all work carried out.
Respond to
urgent maintenance issues
where required, occasionally outside of core hours.
Support wider estate maintenance operations as needed -- flexibility is key.
Willingness to assist with
occasional emergency repairs outside normal working hours
(rare and only when necessary).
What You'll Bring
A solid range of
property maintenance skills
, ideally including:
Basic plumbing
(e.g. toilets, taps, pipework)

Proven experience
in roofing (3+ years preferred), including tiled and slated roofs
Confidence working at
height
and using access equipment safely
Competency with
hand and power tools
; able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong

A
full UK driving licence
and good driving record
Familiarity with
health & safety practices
