We're looking for a

Multi-Skilled Tradesperson

with strong

roofing experience

and the ability to carry out a wide range of

property maintenance tasks

. From tiled roof repairs and guttering to plumbing jobs and joinery fixes, you'll help us keep our properties -- including homes, estate and farm buildings, and their grounds -- in excellent condition.

You'll be part of a practical, hard-working team that values attention to detail, safety, and getting the job done right. If you're confident working at height, comfortable solving problems on-site, and happy turning your hand to a variety of tasks, we'd love to hear from you.

Joinery

(e.g. repairing doors, windows, fencing)

Groundworks

, drainage repairs, and minor building works Accurately

measure and cut materials

to specification, ensuring high-quality finishes. Assist with

small refurbishments

and internal upgrades to estate properties and cottages. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Follow

health and safety procedures

at all times, particularly when working at height or with power tools. Collaborate with

property maintenance colleagues

as well as teams across the wider business -- including

Arable, Forestry, and the Office

-- to coordinate repairs, support ongoing operations, and ensure properties are maintained to a high standard. Communicate clearly with managers and site contacts, reporting progress and flagging issues as needed. Complete

job sheets and documentation

for all work carried out. Respond to

urgent maintenance issues

where required, occasionally outside of core hours. Support wider estate maintenance operations as needed -- flexibility is key. Willingness to assist with

occasional emergency repairs outside normal working hours

(rare and only when necessary).

height

and using access equipment safely Competency with

; able to work independently with minimal supervision Strong

attention to detail

and pride in delivering quality workmanship A

health & safety practices

, building regulations, and site safety protocols Physically fit and capable of

manual work

, including lifting, moving materials, and outdoor labour in all weathers Reliable,

punctual

, and professional in attitude and appearance Good

communication skills

-- able to interact with colleagues, managers, and tenants courteously A

problem-solving approach

, with flexibility to adapt to the task at hand
Please note: This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. You may be asked to carry out other duties from time to time, in line with the evolving needs of the business and your role within it.

Team Culture & Work Environment

You'll be part of a small, hard-working team that takes real pride in maintaining the estate's buildings to a high standard. We value a

practical mindset

, a

willingness to muck in

, and a

respectful, can-do attitude

. Our work is varied, often outdoors, and no two days are the same -- from repairing a cottage roof to responding to a burst pipe.

You'll collaborate with colleagues across the

Property Team

, as well as those in

Arable, Forestry

, and the

Office

, so good communication and teamwork are essential. We are working to build strong, positive working relationships across the team, and we're looking for someone who will contribute positively to that effort -- someone who communicates well, supports others, and brings a constructive, team-minded approach.

You will need a vehicle to get to and from work, as

this role is based across multiple rural sites at both Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy.

During the working day,

pooled vehicles are available for use

when travelling between sites. We're committed to supporting our team with the right tools, equipment, and training to do the job well.
