The Vacancy




Fulltime: 37hrs per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join the Asset department to carry out general building maintenance works to a wide range of building types, including those works not necessarily of your own trade.

Key Responsibilities Include:



Undertake all general maintenance building work in order to maintain all premises owned by Saffron or those they have an interest in. Undertake building work in association with improvements, minor works and small new build contract. Carryout all work of a maintenance nature as required; this may include but is not limited to - Carpentry, UPVC Door and Window repairs, Tiling and Minor Plumbing. All 1st and 2nd fix Carpentry.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:



Experience



Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of maintenance work. Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions. A recognised trade apprenticeship, NVQ level 2 or the equivalent level of skills and experience is required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities



Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision. Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences. Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings / training. Ability to participate on the out of hours call out rota.

Personal Attributes



Full, current, valid driving licence.

This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
