About the role

We're a growing residential refurbishment business delivering painting & decorating, bathroom and kitchen refurbishments, flooring and internal renovations. We're looking for a hands-on Working Supervisor to lead day-to-day site delivery -- planning work, supervising operatives/subcontractors, coaching to maintain standards, maintaining quality and H&S, and supporting delivery with practical multi-trade knowledge when required.

Key responsibilities

Supervise refurbishment works (primarily residential; occasionally light commercial). Allocate daily tasks, brief operatives, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification. Maintain quality control: set expectations, check workmanship, manage snagging, and ensure a high standard of finish. Provide practical guidance and on-the-job coaching to maintain consistent standards across multiple trades. Coordinate materials, deliveries and site readiness to keep projects moving (basic planning and sequencing). Liaise with customers where needed to explain progress and manage expectations. Ensure compliance with basic site H&S requirements (RAMS awareness, tidy sites, safe tool use, PPE, reporting). Carry out or assist with minor hands-on tasks when required (snagging, making good, small finishing items). Keep simple records: daily progress updates, photos, snag lists, and material requirements.
What we're looking for

Proven experience supervising residential refurbishment / fit-out works (or senior multi-trade role with leadership responsibility). Strong working knowledge across multiple trades (decorating, making good, basic carpentry, tiling/flooring coordination, bathroom/kitchen sequencing). Able to work from basic drawings/specs and deliver to scope and finish standards. Confident leading small teams; organised and calm approach. Attention to detail and pride in quality finishes. Full driving licence (preferred) CSCS card (preferred)
