The role:




The Music Services Supervisor (Academic Liaison) fulfils a key role in supporting teaching and research at the Faculty of Music. The role holder is responsible for day-to-day operations at the music faculty library and for projects and activities around music focused academic liaison across Cambridge University Libraries & Archives.


As Music Services Supervisor you will:




Deliver high quality user services.

Develop and deliver teaching sessions on music information skills and resources.

Ensure collections are discoverable and reading list materials are available.

Liaise with the academic community to ensure all music information needs are met.

Oversee day-to-day management.

What we are looking for:




Music literacy and a good understanding of music as an academic subject.

Experience of developing and delivering library services.

Excellent communication skills. Digital literacy, such as an understanding of metadata requirements for music materials or the potential role of AI in providing music services.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a user facing environment.
