Music Teacher
Location: Lewisham, South East London Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London)

A secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated classroom Music Teacher to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement at Key Stage 5.

The Role
You will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive Music lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
Collaborating with a highly experienced Music team to develop and enrich an already successful curriculum
Contributing to a vibrant co-curricular music programme, including regular performances, ensembles, concerts, and music clubs
Supporting the musical development of our music scholars, who make up approximately 10% of the student body
Maintaining high standards of classroom management and student engagement
Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Participating in ongoing professional learning and innovation in teaching practice

About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is a qualified and enthusiastic Music Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Has experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4, with a strong understanding of curriculum planning
Is committed to inclusive education and passionate about enabling every student to access high-quality musical learning
Brings excellent musicianship, creativity, and energy to both classroom and co-curricular settings
Is a strong team player and an effective communicator with staff, students, and families
Has the drive to inspire trust, respect, and ambition in young people
