Job Description

We are looking for new Music Volunteers to join our team at Oxfam Darlington!

As a Music Volunteer, we hope you already have a passion for all genres of music. We'll share our expertise with you and give you all the training and support you need to help us make the most of our wonderful donated CDs, and instruments. Whether you have years of experience or are totally new to retail, you will be part of a fantastic community of volunteers.

This voluntary role involves:

- Making the most of donations by checking, researching, and pricing them

- Establishing a customer base that trusts your judgement

- Creating attractive displays across the shop

- Culling unsold items and stocking with new stock

The ideal candidate will:

- Be reliable and able to work as part of a team;

- Have good communication skills;

- Be able to use websites to research, or willing to learn how to;

- Be available to work a minimum of one 4 hour shift per week.

We can offer our volunteers valuable work experience in a retail environment, and the opportunity to directly contribute to Oxfam's mission to achieve a just world without poverty. We can provide references for our team, and we can provide travel costs in accordance with our expenses policy.
