Musical Theatre Teaching Assistant for Children aged 3.5-11 years
Saturdays: 9.30-1pm
To support the delivery of high-quality musical theatre classes by assisting the lead teacher in developing students' skills in singing, dancing, and acting. The teaching assistant will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Support the lead teacher in delivering engaging and structured musical theatre sessions.
Assist with warm-ups, vocal exercises, choreography, and scene work.
Provide individual or small group support to students who may need extra help.
Help manage student behaviour in a positive and encouraging manner.
Set up and tidy the studio or teaching space before and after sessions.
Assist in rehearsals and performances, including backstage support if required.
Promote enthusiasm, confidence, and creativity in all participants.
Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students at all times.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Experience working with children or young people.
A passion for musical theatre and the performing arts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, organised, and supportive in a team environment.
Willingness to take direction and show initiative when needed.
Commitment to creating an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.

Pay: 10.00-15.00 per hour
