Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Musical Theatre Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging Singing lessons as well as, teaching Dance technique and choreography, fostering a love for musical theatre while developing their skills in performance, theory, and creativity. This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about teaching and have a strong background in music theory and dance.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging Singing and Dance lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels. Teach students about music theory, Dance, and performance techniques. Prepare students for performances. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Collaborate with other teachers. Organise musical arrangements and dance choreography for school productions and showcases to showcase student talent.

Skills

Strong proficiency in vocal performance and dance expertise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and parents. Ability to create lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Knowledge of music theory and the ability to teach it effectively in a group setting. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching music and dance. Experience in conducting group lessons or ensembles is an advantage.

Rate of Pay

Starting wage of 20 per hour, reviewed annually.

Woking Hours

Thursday evenings from 17:15-20:00 at St Werburgh's Chorlton Church Hall.
