Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging
Musical Theatre Teacher / Supervisor
to run an after-schoolMusical Theatre Club
at a primary school inDerby
. This is a fantastic opportunity to help children explore singing, acting, and movement while building their confidence, creativity, and performance skills.The club runs
once a week for 1 hour
(day and timings to be confirmed).Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a small group of primary-aged children in musical theatre activities. Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate sessions combining singing, acting, and movement. Encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment in performance. Maintain clear communication with parents and school staff regarding children's progress. Ensure the space and equipment are safe, tidy, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching musical theatre, drama, or performing arts to children in schools, clubs, or similar settings. Ability to motivate and inspire young learners in a structured yet fun way. Strong English communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and staff. A background in performing arts, theatre, or teaching is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
Work Location: In person
