N11 Support Engineer

Job Description

The Kelly Group are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious N11 Support Engineer to support our fibre network deployment in line with Openreach N11 standards. This role is key to ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and integration of fibre infrastructure connected to the Openreach network.



This position also involves working on flat roofs and operating hoists and MEWPs, so valid IPAF certifications and strong adherence to health and safety protocols are essential.


Role Responsibilities:




Deliver field engineering support for Openreach-compliant fibre infrastructure, specifically ensuring compliance with N11 interface requirements for Ethernet-based access services. Work closely with Network Engineers and Project Managers to ensure services are provisioned, migrated, and maintained according to Openreach standards. Conduct and document end-to-end testing (light levels, OTDR traces, service availability) to ensure service readiness for Openreach handover. Operate hoists, winches, and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) safely and in accordance with IPAF 3A and 3B certification standards. Carry out rooftop access and work at height following full risk assessments and using correct PPE and fall protection equipment. Ensure all work is completed in line with Openreach PIA and N11 compliance standards, including adherence to duct, pole, and chamber usage guidelines. Maintain and update accurate documentation of installation details, test results, site photos, and redline drawings for Openreach and internal records.

We are looking for candidates with the below experience:






Experience in fibre network installation and maintenance, particularly with Openreach infrastructure. Valid IPAF certification. Comfortable working at height and on flat roofs with appropriate safety protocols. Competency in using fibre test equipment (OTDR, power meter, light source). Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year (no more than 6 points)
