Job Introduction

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable

Named Nurse for Safeguarding

to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective care across our services. In this key role, you will support the Safeguarding Team to ensure the organisation meets its

contractual responsibilities to safeguard children, young people, and adults with care and support needs

who access our services both directly and indirectly.


You will work

collaboratively with partner agencies, the wider safeguarding team, and colleagues across HCRG Care Group

, promoting best practice, providing expert advice, and ensuring robust safeguarding processes are in place and consistently followed.


Main Responsibilities
Be responsible to and accountable within the managerial framework of HCRG Care Group Services. Support the BU Head and safeguarding team to ensure that the organisation meets its responsibilities for safeguarding Deputise for the leadership team when required At all times and in relation to the roles and responsibilities listed, work as a member of the organisation's safeguarding team. Management of the Safeguarding Specialist Nurses, delegation of work and provision of supervision

Qualifications and Professional Registration:



Registered with the

Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

on: +

Part 1

of the register as a

Registered Children's Nurse

,

and/or


+

Part 1

of the register as a

Registered Adult Nurse

,

and


+

Part 3

of the register as a

Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN)

, having completed a recognised programme with a

child and family focus

.
Completed

post-registration training in safeguarding and/or looked-after children

, including knowledge of: + Relevant

law, policy, and practice

(e.g., Level 2 safeguarding training or

Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip)

in a related field).

Experience:



A

minimum of three years' experience

in a healthcare role focused on

babies, children, and young people

, including direct experience working with

looked-after children

. Proven experience working as a

Safeguarding Specialist Nurse

(or equivalent role) within a

designated safeguarding team

. Demonstrated ability to

contribute to the writing of detailed and comprehensive reports and reviews

, particularly in the context of safeguarding or looked-after children.
