We are in a position to recruit 0.8 WTE Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children Team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave within the team. This is a specialist role which involves, operating across services for our integrated Acute and Community Trust and working from non NHS Sites.
The successful practitioner will be supported in their role by the wider safeguarding team and there will be opportunity to lead on areas of work /specialist interest in safeguarding and undertake professional studies to aid development.
The post holder will actively contribute to multi-agency partnership working arrangements for safeguarding children, which will include working within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

The post holder will work in a busy and supportive Safeguarding Children Team. The role involves working collaboratively with Named and Designated Doctors, Designated Nurse and other agencies to ensure that the organisation meets its safeguarding children responsibilities and that children are effectively safeguarded.
The post holder will deliver training; safeguarding supervision; undertake research and audits; provide daily expert advice and support to staff within the Trust.
You will need to evidence partnership working and have appropriate post registration experience, which must include extensive clinical experience working with complex safeguarding issues either acute or community based.
The successful candidates will increase their knowledge in different aspects of safeguarding, and as a team we are ready to look at new ideas. For this interesting role you should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively and respond appropriately in challenging circumstances.
