We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced practitioner to work as Named Professional to contribute to the implementation of the Trust's Think Whole Family Safeguarding Strategy in Luton and Bedfordshire. The post holder will work closely with other named professionals and senior management across the Trust to ensure that the Think Whole Family safeguarding strategy is embedded in every aspect of care delivery, providing corporate safeguarding support across the organisation with primary responsibility for Luton and Bedfordshire.

The Named Nurse/Professional role would fulfil the Level 4 Specialist Role - named nurse/professional function as described in the Intercollegiate Documents (2024; 2019; 2020). To take a professional lead in the provision of expert knowledge and health advice on safeguarding children to health care providers within Cambridgeshire Community Services (CCS) which ensures that consistent safeguarding, policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with current legislation. The named nurse/professional will work closely with the adult safeguarding team to ensure that the Think Whole Family approach to safeguarding is embedded into all practice across the Trust.
To be actively involved in the strategic planning and service developments in interagency working for the safeguarding of children in accordance with national and local requirements.
To develop and maintain processes and procedures for safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk of harm or abuse for Cambridgeshire Community Services ensuring that prevention of abuse and safeguarding systems are in place and constantly developed to minimise risk.
