The role will be mostly sole charge with occasional shared care. The boy will be in nursery 3 days a week.
Working hours: 8am to 6pm, four days a week. Some flexibility around hours to accommodate busy farming periods required normally in April and September.
Accommodation can be offered as required.
Rate: 15 - 20 per hour depending on experience, live in/out and employment status
About the family:
The family run a farm near Bromyard as well as several holiday lets in woodland on the farm.
The older boy is an avid reader and gardener with a love of cooking. The girl is eager to learn from her big brother and on the move. She always has a smile on her face and an infectious laugh.
They are currently working on a vegetable patch, the boy is working on letters and maths and the girl has just become very mobile. The Montessori and RIE approaches really resonate with their family values of fostering independence, clear boundaries and communicating with respect and kindness.
For the children, there are a couple of forest schools within 20mins that run sessions regularly as well as a few soft play options and playgrounds. There are also a range of music and swimming classes that are within 30 minutes. There is also plenty to explore on the farm.
Expectations and duties:
The family are looking for a kind-hearted nanny who genuinely loves being with children, has enthusiasm, and proactivity to design interesting and engaging activities and make the most of the environment on the farm.
Duties include nursery duties, developing engaging developmentally appropriate activities for both children, preparing nutritious meals, ensuring clothing equipment and children's areas are clean and tidy. The role will mostly be sole charge of both children when the boy is not in nursery, with some shared care with the youngest charge.
