Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide personalised educational support to students requiring support with National 5 Maths. The ideal candidate will have experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children, and possess strong communication skills. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals.

Duties

Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs, maximum 4. Develop lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material. Provide support in Maths Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation. Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Collaborate with special education professionals when necessary to support students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements

This is a face-to-face local job and applications are invited for teachers/tutors whom live or work close to Lanark.

Must have an appropriate degree in Maths or Maths related subject

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents.

Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
