We have an opportunity for a National Account Executive to join our Commercial Team in Hamilton.

The National Account Executive will work within the Grocery Channel supporting the Senior Business Manager in the day-to-day management of the account. The national account executive with be a key contact for the external retail customers from an administrative perspective which will involve promotional and new product set up, running sales reports and responding to customer requests.
This is a fast-paced role, where the successful candidate will ideally have work experience in a similar role or can demonstrate the key skills for the role and an appetite to learn and progress. The candidate should have strong IT skills with experience with MS Office, particular requirement for strong excel skills/knowledge. They will be required to understand sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer communication.
This role offers hybrid working based at Hamilton, with a requirement to be on-site at least 3 days per week. On occasion you will be required to visit one of our other sites (Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Cardiff or Salisbury) or to customer locations for meetings which could be weekly or monthly, depending on the requirement.

As the National Account Executive, they will ensure effective communication and build strong relationships with individual members of the allocated Grocery retail accounts. They will work closely with the Business manager/s responsible for head office control of the allocated grocery retail account, as well as working cross functionally with other departments including category/finance/brads and development to support the customer sell ins and new product development.
The National Account Executive will be a key point of contact for the Grocery Retail customer and follow up on requests and queries in an efficient and professional manner. The role is key to delivering a positive customer experience and requires good organisational skill and attention to detail.

Proven work experience as a National Account Executive or relevant sales role
Experience with MS Office (e.g. Excel)
Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience
Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships
Effective presentation and negotiation skills
High degree of professionalism
Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
