National Account Manager - Grocery & Retail

We're now looking for a commercially sharp National Account Manager to take the reins of some of our most important Convenience and Online retail customers. This is initially a 9-month maternity cover, but it's also your chance to make a lasting impression, develop your profile in a fast-paced, values-led business and possibly open doors for the future.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the driving force behind our customer relationships, balancing the art of selling with commercial rigour. Think joint business plans, category insights, promotional planning and full P&L ownership. You'll be partnering internally with a supportive, experienced team (marketing, supply chain, finance) and externally with key retail buyers to sustain and grow performance.

While there's no new business pressure, there is strategic potential, including early work with Japanese retailers, where you'll help shape a new chapter for Mizkan in Europe.

What We're Looking For

You might already be a National Account Manager or a strong National Account Executive looking to step up, what matters is that you've:

Worked in FMCG/food, ideally with national retail accounts Managed full annual account cycles; planning, forecasting, promotions Owned or supported customer P&Ls and understand what drives performance Shown commercial acumen and the ability to back up decisions with data A growth mindset: open to learning, resilient, and always looking to improve

The Details

Contract: 9-month fixed term (potential to extend) Location: Home-based with weekly Chiswick visits + travel to Manchester Salary: Competitive, within approved budget (discussed on application) Bonus: Pro-rata annual bonus included Support: Full handover and internal onboarding
