Role Overview
The National Account Manager at Per-Scent is responsible for managing and developing relationships with key wholesale and trade customers, driving sales growth, profitability, and strategic account management. This role requires strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and a proven ability to secure high-value deals, ensuring continued business success and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Relationship Building
Lead and manage key wholesale and trade accounts, ensuring strong customer relationships.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute joint business plans and sales strategies.
Drive customer engagement and retention initiatives.
Sales Growth & Strategic Planning
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive account growth and profitability.
Negotiate pricing, stock selection, and contract terms to secure beneficial agreements.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the trade and wholesale sector.
Maintain a tenacious approach to deal-making, ensuring both Per-Scent and its customers achieve commercial success.
Market Analysis & Performance Reporting
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer performance.
Adapt sales strategies based on emerging opportunities and industry challenges.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance insights to the Sales Director.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to ensure efficient product distribution.
Support the execution of product launches and promotional campaigns.
Key Skills & Competencies
Experience: Minimum 3+ years in sales or account management, preferably within fragrance, beauty, or FMCG industries.
Negotiation & Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to secure contracts and maximise revenue opportunities.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret sales data, customer trends, and market insights.
Communication & Influence: Excellent ability to build relationships and negotiate at all levels.
Strategic Focus: Proactive in identifying business growth opportunities.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the UK for client meetings (occasional international travel may be required).
