Haywood & Padgett is a family-run bakery based in Barnsley, and the world leader in the production of traditional English scones. We proudly serve clients across retail, airline catering, and commercial foodservice sectors. Under our sister brand, nibnibs, we also offer a premium range of snacks including breadsticks, mini biscuits, and cookies.
We are now seeking a driven and commercially astute National Account Manager to lead the growth of our snacks division, with a particular focus on airline, retail, and foodservice channels in both UK and international markets.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity from our Barnsley bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
? Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities for our scones, cookies, snacks, and baked goods within the airline catering, commercial foodservice, and wholesale sectors.
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnership.
? Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, and technical teams to meet client specifications and delivery requirements.
? Represent the company at trade shows, sales meetings, and client presentations both in the UK and internationally.
? Prepare compelling sales pitches and product presentations tailored to client needs.
? Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service agreements to meet commercial targets.
? Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning.
Requirements:
? 5+ years' proven success in snack or baked goods sales (airline/foodservice preferred).
? Strong industry network within airline catering or commercial distribution.
? Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
? Self-starter with a track record of exceeding targets.
? Willing to travel for business development and events.
? Familiarity with food safety, B2B customisation, and export logistics is a plus.
