Role Overview





We are seeking an experienced and strategic-thinking National Asset Lifecycle Manager to lead the development and implementation of asset lifecycle strategies across our client portfolio.



This home-based role involves regular travel and overnight stays across the UK to ensure consistent asset management practices and strong engagement with regional contract teams.



Key Responsibilities




Develop and manage national asset lifecycle strategies aligned with ISO 55000 and PAS 55 standards. Oversee asset data collection, validation, and analysis to support lifecycle planning and capital investment decisions. Lead the implementation and optimisation of CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) systems to ensure accurate asset records and maintenance planning. Collaborate with FM operations, engineering, finance, and sustainability teams to align asset strategies with business objectives. Plan and manage long-term capital budgets, including lifecycle replacement forecasting and investment prioritisation. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across all asset classes. Drive continuous improvement in asset performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Support the mobilisation and transition of new contracts by ensuring robust asset data and lifecycle plans are in place. Provide leadership and technical guidance to regional asset and FM teams. Conduct regular site visits to audit performance, support teams, and engage with stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience




Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related discipline) or equivalent industry experience. Professional membership with a recognised engineering or asset management institution (e.g., IET, CIBSE, IAM). Extensive experience in asset management within the facilities management or built environment sector. Strong working knowledge of ISO 55000 and PAS 55 frameworks. Proven experience with CAFM systems (e.g., Planon, Archibus, Concept Evolution, or similar). Demonstrated ability to manage capital planning and lifecycle investment strategies. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Willingness and ability to travel nationally with regular overnight stays.

Desirable




Postgraduate qualification in Asset Management, Facilities Management, or Engineering Management. Experience with digital asset management tools, BIM integration, or IoT-enabled maintenance strategies. Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives in the built environment.
