to join our dedicated team and help deliver our prestigious National Cup competition portfolio.
About the Role
As National Competitions Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in managing the ESFA's National Cup portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
Administering and overseeing the delivery of national competitions
Supporting the development and maintenance of sponsor relationships
Assisting in the planning and execution of ESFA Cup Finals and related events
Ensuring clear, effective communication with schools, County and District Schools' FAs

Primary purpose of role:
Ensuring the effective operation of selected National Competitions and the competitions department and deputising for the Director of Operations where required.
Main responsibilities:
To contribute to the efficient administration of the National Competitions Department (NCD);
To assist in the compilation of competition rules and regulations, and to update the Handbook and website accordingly;
To formulate, with the DoO, the ESFA calendar and to communicate to all counties, districts and schools;
To be responsible for the circulation and processing of competition entry forms for selected competitions;
To ensure that teams participating in competitions are informed of the rules before and throughout the season;
To provide the teams with the necessary documentation for each round of competition;
To ensure that all draws and results files are update and communicated;
To ensure that all deadline dates are adhered to by competing teams and to chase up any missing results;
To maintain the national database for all National Competitions;
To implement the council policy for the staging of all National Competitions finals;
To arrange for the appointment of match officials for appropriate stages of the National Competitions Semi-Finals and Finals;
To assist the DoO in the production of the National Competitions finals' programmes;
To assist the NCM in the production of documentation and ticketing for National Competitions Finals;
To organise the purchase of kits, medals and trophies and arrange for engraving where appropriate;
To attend and support the National Competitions Finals;
To fulfil the financial responsibilities of the role as prescribed in the Financial Regulations;
To participate in training, development and appraisal processes necessary to fulfil the role;
To support the ESFA Council to fulfil its responsibilities;
To act with high standards of professionalism, business integrity and personal conduct at all times;
To act as an ambassador for the ESFA in the conduct of all business;
To comply with the requirements of the staff handbook;
To comply with the Association's safeguarding requirements and to contribute to the delivery of the ESFA's safeguarding plans;
To use best endeavours to support others in the achievement of their objectives;
To conduct any other duties as may reasonably be required by the employer.
Special considerations in this role:
The role will require some travel and occasional overnight stays, as well as periodic weekend working, for which time off in lieu will be offered.

Skills
Essential
Educated to A level standard or equivalent
Administrative experience in a customer-focused environment
An understanding of football regulations
Ability to use databases and the ability to quickly learn the ESFA's bespoke software
The ability to accurately manipulate high volumes of information, quickly
The ability to work diligently without constant supervision
A full, clean driving licence
Desirable
An understanding of football disciplinary procedures
An understanding of the school sports environment
Experience of working with a membership organisation
Event co-ordination experience
Staff supervision/mentoring experience
An understanding of child welfare regulations
