The Paediatric Hearing Service Improvement Programme was launched to address the need for service improvements. In collaboration with ICBs, providers, NHS regions, Care Quality Commission, and professional bodies, we are working to ensure that these services deliver safe, high-quality, and timely care for all children
The post holder will work with NHSE and DHSC to provide specialist knowledge to deliver the best outcomes for patients. They will specifically provide expert clinical advice to support Hearing Services and associated conditions across the care pathway. They will contribute to model of provision review of audiology services across the whole care pathway and service configurations for hearing services. They will work with stakeholders to understand challenges required to implement improvements in patient care, providing subject matter expertise, leadership and strategic input
The role will support senior leaders to provide clinical advice in four respects:
Clinical advice to drive service transformation
Clinical advice to support identification and delivery of our corporate clinical priorities (national and regional level)
Clinical advice to support the commissioning of services
Clinical advice on ad hoc issues to support parliamentary accountability.
