Supporting the team, you will take responsibility for managing third party logistics providers to maximise the availability of our products into the distribution centres and stores. In conjunction with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality and cost efficient inbound supply chain both through operational and project management. You will be working as part of a growing and developing supply chain team, looking for continuous improvement within your role to simplify processes and maximise efficiencies. In our Freight Settlement Team in the National Supply Chain Management department, you will have the key responsibility of processing our Inbound and Outbound Freight Invoices ready for payment. You will ensure the invoices received from our Carriers are paid on time and any invoice queries are resolved in an efficient manner. You will have the opportunity to work with our brand new SAP systems which will transform the way our business works across all departments. You will be working as part of a growing and developing National Supply Chain department, looking for continuous improvement within your role to simplify processes and maximise efficiencies. As part of this role you will be a key contact between our National Supply Chain and National Finance teams. This will include feeding back key datasets to ensure we\xe2\x80\x99re paying our Carriers on time as well as offering insight into where we could further improve our processes.   • System expert in our new Freight Settlement processes within our new system SAP TM (training will be provided)
  • Processing invoices in both our new SAP TM system as well as legacy systems
  • Resolution of invoice queries
  • Running of reports to monitor the payment status of invoices
  • Updating of reports to share with third parties to enable accurate invoicing
  • Involvement in Financial Planning reporting for the National Supply Chain department
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management of all levels of business
  • Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies
  • Supporting the delivery of the department strategy as required
  • Working with other business functions within Aldi to ensure that SAP TM is functioning as efficiently as possible

  • Confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues of all levels is key
  • Need strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.

About You
  • Professional work experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Change management role or Strategic planning
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Experience of invoice management
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and confident to explore and develop our SAP systems
