One of our Key Clients has an urgent need for a number of experienced Naval Architects to support their work in the Nuclear Defence area
Summary of the Role
Assystem is seeking a
Naval Architect
to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting the operation and development of client facilities in Scotland. Working within the Client's Engineering Approval Authority, you'll contribute to the design, assessment, and safety assurance of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain engineering design substantiation documents
? Assess design changes, safety cases, and technical concessions
Support EIMT schedules, safety reviews, and technical assessments
? Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders
Review and validate technical reports and engineering calculations
Qualifications
Requirements:
+ Background in naval architecture or related engineering discipline
Experience in high-hazard or regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, defence)
? Strong understanding of design assurance and safety case principles
?? Excellent technical writing and stakeholder communication skills
Qualifications:
Essential:
Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience
Desirable:
Naval Architecture degree
Chartered Engineer
